Flooding at Island Wall

Island Wall, Whitstable. As this photo shows, Island Wall was one of the more severly affected areas. The submerged car gives some idea just how bad it was. It should also be borne in mind that many houses in Island Wall are actually below sea level and the car is on a raised road.

Herne Bay Sea front. The gardens seem to have been a little over-watered here.....
