As with most coastal towns, Herne Bay has a number of seafront guesthouses. The houses shown above are opposite Waltrop Gardens, looking out over Neptune's Arm.

The grand Georgian properties below are on the eastern end of the seafront. Some people may recall a particularly bad Richard Burton film called "The Medusa Touch", where he played a man capable of creating all sorts of mayhem. The part of the film covering his early years was filmed in Herne Bay and used these houses. Reculver Towers also featured in the film.
