| Sitting forlornly out to sea, cut off from the mainland since 1979, is what used to be the end of the pier. The pierhead is now in a very sorry state of repair. There have been numerous campaigns to get the entire pier rebuilt. Despite some truly ambitious suggestions, I really don't see it happening. |
