In front of the pub is the Reculver Millenium Cross, one of three in the area; the others are in Canterbury and Whitstable and were erected to celebrate 2000 years of Christianity.

| Reculver Towers, otherwise known as the Twin Sisters, are the only remains of the original St Mary's church. The church was demolished in 1809 and rebuilt in Hillborough. The towers are owned by Trinity House and maintained as a landmark for shipping. |
