St. Martin's church in Herne. The yew trees in front the church have grown so big now, it's almost impossible to see the church from the High Street. This is about as much of it that you'll see from the road.

For such a tiny village, Herne has a huge church. It was one of the most important in the area and it seems ironic that St Mary's, the larger church at Reculver and the site of the rebirth of Christianity in England, is now a much smaller affair at Hillborough.
