| Oh look; another non Herne Bay/Whitstable page. Since meeting Cheryl, we seem to have spent a lot of time travelling. Our third trip together brought us to Vancouver in British Columbia, on Canada's west coast. |
| Cheryl has visited the city a number of times before and knows loads about the city and surrounding area but for me it was the first time I'd been. And what a place it is. I keep saying this but this is a definite "on the list of return-to" venues. Very friendly place and absolutely stunning scenery. From our hotel room we could see the Pacific Ocean to our left and Grouse Mountain to our right. |

| Before we got to Vancouver, we had to fly over the Rockie Mountains. What a way to start a trip! | Every morning, this fella would appear at the balcony and Cheryl being the softie she is would feed him every morning..... |

| This truncated mountain is the Chief, which we passed on our way to Whistler mountain. | Later on, we went up to the top of Grouse mountain, just outside Vancouver. The peaks in the distance there are the Two Lions. |

| This young black bear cub was wandering loose the day we visited. The rangers believe he's orphaned & continue to shoo him off so he doesn't become tame. | Look at me, Mum; I'm on a mountain. This "brave traveller" face is only there because the bear had now gone..... |

| Cheryl was distinctly unimpressed when I woke her at 5:30 to look at the moon over the bay. She acknowledged later that yes, it was very pretty but I'd have some serious making up to do for disturbing her so early..... | Raccoons may look cute but they're sly beggars. Don't think of them as cuddly and you'll be all right. They were more than happy to run off with people's bags, Cheryl's included. We got it back though. Eventually. |

| Naturally, I had to include the obligatory panoramas. Above is the view from the cable car station on Grouse mountain. Below is one of the many spectacular views witnessed on the way to Whistler. |
