Island Wall (3)

This is the final stage of our stroll along Island Wall, taking us to Terrys Lane.

These houses are directly opposite Waterloo Road and what used to be the Guinea pub..... .....which will be this building. As you can see, it's now a private house, although Dad did eventually find a colour photo showing what it used to look like, which he used for one of his many paintings of Whitstable pubs.

Waterloo Road connects Island Wall with Middle Wall. The blue house in the centre was once the Fishermans Arms, at least according to the mural on the front. I walk around town and realise that, despite having lived here most of my life, I still know so little about it.

Another alleyway that leads to the beach. This is Collars Alley. This is the sea end of Collars Alley, looking west towards the Old Neptune.

Parked up by Collars Alley is the oyster yawl "Favourite". Copeland House, one of the town's bed and breakfast houses.

This rather uninspiring view is of Keames Yard car park, tucked in the corner at the end of Island Wall. From here, you can access Cushing's View. Finally, Terrys Lane, leading back to the junction of the High Street, Sea Street and Harbour Street.
