Once you have scaled Wraik Hill by the Thanet Way, the going gets easier, as you will be going down Borstal Hill, through town and back to Tankerton. |

| As you can see, the motorway is now quite a way below us. | Finally, we reach the top. On cool days, this is hard work. On a hot summer's day, it's bloody murder for us unfit types. |

| At the end of Wraik hill, turn left and join the roundabout, going straight over, towards Whitstable. Now, this is either an old pill box or "a unique detached character property, ripe for refurbishment and commanding spectacular views across the estuary", depending on your viewpoint. | Take care at this first roundabout, as the traffic will be peeling off (quickly) to join the London-bound Thanet Way. Straight across the next roundabout will take you on to Borstal Hill. |
That's it, for the moment, as I ran out of space on the camera. To finish, stay on the main road down Borstall Hill into and through town, passing the harbour. Stay on the main road, up Tankerton Road, with the castle lodge on your left. Down the other side of the hill, cross Tankerton Circus roundabout, pass all the shops and the coach park is on your left. |
| The complete route is about 8 miles/13 km. |
